Microsoft Publisher

I'm losing my interest with the titles. I used to have such good titles, now I can't think of anyhting interesting.

Anyway, we were taught about Microsoft Publisher today. This is basically a software that helps you with print-outs or web pages. It's very effective because unlike the other Microsoft Office softwares, this has really no limit to how you decide to design in. It has the common tools like text boxes, picture frames, clip art, etc. The flexibility of the formatting is what helps you a lot so that your own template is unique.

Our assignment for today is to create our own template for an ad that advertises a course in this school. I need to improve my mark for this course, so wish my luck that I'd do well on this one.

Old Stocks Covered With Dust

This week we started the business portion of our BTT class. We are supposed to apply all of the things we learned about Microsoft Office, computer parts, and Photoshop for this unit. We started off talking about the three types of businesses: sole proprietorship, partnerhsip, and corporation. As you can see, you can probably guess what the differences between each of them.
Sole proprietor is basically one person starting up a business by themselves. Partnership is two people or more who start it up. A corporation is a whole bunch of people who put their money together to start a business that they can all profit from.

For an assignment, we were given $100,000 to invest into five different companies that we like. We will observe how the price of the shares of fluctuate from week one to week six.

Here I am Again!

Wow! It's been almost two weeks. I have a good explanation, though. We haven't really done anything new and we've had 4 four-day weeks now, plus that blogger.com isn't working at my house.

I've made a post last week, but I didn't get to publish it. Anyway, this is a filler post just so I can say I updated. We're doing something new today, so I'll probably make a new one later.

More and More and Even More

So, I'm just trying to digest all of the information that had just been squashed into my brain by my teacher. We're learning all about ftp and html as of lately, but I'm sure most of you know that.

Today, specifically we were taught all about ftp. Ftp first of all stands for 'file transport protocol'. It's self-explanatory: it is a way of transferring files over the internet so that other people can use it.

If you want to publish a website so that anybody can access it over the internet, it is good to save a space first (in the internet). To do this, you have to pay or rent for the space. After, you have to have a program that opens a 'portal' so that you can place your website in the internet.
