Just Want To Wish You...

Merry Christmas!

Well, I had a pretty nice Christmas. It wasn't the best one though. I got sick on Christmas Eve and I had a high fever. It was quite disappointing because I wanted to help out to prepare for the celebration but I couldn't. I sort of ruined the plans, but it was okay now.

I'm not sick anymore. Actually, that was one of the very few times I only got sick for one day and I was able to recover the next day. Usually, it take me about a week to recover. I don't get sick often though. We went to church this morning, just like we usually do on Christmas day.

Well, we're going to Blue Mountain tomorrow. Other than that the next plans we have is on New Year so I don't know what we're going to do until then. I don't even know if I'm going to update again until school starts. I'm pretty sure everyone else didn't even bother to update.

The Test I Surely Failed...

I just finished writing the Microsoft Word Test. Man, I can't believe it! I screwed up over half of it! Okay I'm exagerating, but there's this part where I had to label the screen and I didn't get half of the tools/ features mentioned there. I can't believe it! I want to bang my head on the wall. I just probably didn't study enough. Wow, this is a rough way to end the school year. I'm upset.

Negative or Positive... which one?

Well, the test was cancelled today. I don't know if that's a good thing or not since I'm not really feeling like writing a test on the last day of school. Well, things are easing up a bit now. There are less things to do. I'm almost done my art project and there's really nothing to do in geography and science since we're watching a movie. Everybody also got their tutorials done for computers.

I'm not sure what to do now. I'm still not excited about Christmas, and I'm definitely not looking forwards on to Friday since the test in then. I have a few notes about the major things that we went over. I'm also going to study more.

1200 lbs. Week Before Christmas

Well, I thought it was going to be an easy week for us because it's almost the Holidays, but it turns out the we have still a lot more to do. The pressure is on again especially in my BTT class.

Today another group for the podcast wasn't ready to submit their project. I'm pretty sure that me and my partner are going to get it in time. We're not the type of people to procrastinate. I think we're even planning to start on the weekend right after we come back from the break. The realy pressure is on the book we're making. My teacher told us that we should have an outline or a rough copy by the end of the week. Most people aren't even done two tutorials! I'm on my third one. Thank goodness I'm not one of the editors. My classmates are driving them nuts. See, they're the ones who know which feature had been done or not so most people are waiting for them to tell them which ones they can do.

I have also a test on Microsoft Word test on Wednesday. I'm not sure exactly what's going to be on it, but I know that the feature Macro is definitely going to be there. I don't know anything else. Maybe the mail merge and the labels are going appear on the test. Whatever's on it, hopefully I'll be ready.

Countdown to Christmas

Well, yesterday I went Christmas shopping. I bought some new clothes to wear on Christmas and so did my sister and my Mom. It's kind of disappointing that I can't wear them at school because of the uniforms. I have a lot of clothes that I can't wear because I have to wear uniforms. It's usually okay for me, but sometimes I think that it's sort of a waste of money if I can't wear them.

After that, I went skating in Oriole just like I usually do every Saturday. I'm not good or anything, I'm actually just a beginner.

Today, I'm going to start on my realist version of a picture for art. There's really not much to do this weekend. It's a good thing though because last weekend was sort of cruel with the geography project and all. The only down side to having nothing to do is that it's completely boring. I feel like sleeping.

I don't know what else to say. There's only one more week left before school is over. I think I'm mostly glad about that. I'm not excited or anything, but I know that when Christmas comes closer, I would soon.

I'm searching for 'Re'

Well, I think I've mentioned this a while ago. We have another research project, this time in my English course. I don't mind it that much though. My teacher is very lenient about it and the things that I'm researching is actually quite interesting. I'm doing it about the 3 fates in the Greek mythology.

Our math test had been cancelled for tomorrow. We are having the honour roll assembly so it was postponed until Friday. Art is becoming a little more interesting now. We've finished our lessons on Impressionism and Post Impressionism, so things are starting to lighten up a bit. We're going to be doing some Impressionism art.

For Science we've finished watching a documentary about Voyager. As for homework, we were supposed to look up pictures of... I forgot what it was so I couldn't do it. Hopefully, he wouldn't make it too much of a big deal. As you can see we've started on our Astronomy unit. No more chemistry. PhysEd is a bit confusing. We were supposed to start CPR, but our teacher told us that there was going to be a change in the schedules. We're still in basketball.

Geography, ahh the most talked about subject. Well, we have three more presentations to go. Those three are really lucky. I presented right on the day it was due, and they get to go four days after. Theirs should be really good because my teacher is going to mark them quite harshly. Things in this course have eased up a bit, but a few of my classmates still really hates our teacher. Some of them plans some evil scheme of throwing her out the window. Nobody really would try to do that.

FU-SION-HA! (Fishy Fishy)

Today in BTT class, we learned how to make several personalized letters that conveys the same message, but there are things in it that is different in everybody's. In Word, this tool is called Mail Merge.

First you go to Tools, Letters and Maillings, then Mail Merge. State what type of document you want to creat. For letters, choose Letters. Then choose 'Use the Current Document'. You can type up a new list or use one that already exists. There might be some fields that you want to make yourself or you can use the ones that are already there. Once you got those down, you can create several records that will be used in your letter. Records are the things you put down like the actual name of the person, where she lives, what her age is, etc. When you're done, type up your letter, placing the fields where you want them. There would be a button that allows you to do this on the left top corner. Then you can go to Tools, Mail Merge, and do step 3. The amount of records you created would be the same as the amount of letters you have.

So that's what we did in BTT class. Now let's go to Geography...

My geography presentation was the worst presentation I ever did in my life! I went up in front of the class and forgot everything I memorized. I said too many umms and sorries, I got lost throughout my own presentation, I was as nervous as hell, I was about to cry, I was about to ask the teacher to let me start over when I was 75% done, and I was about to tell the person in front of me, "Can you please move? I'm going to barf."

It was the most... stressful presentation I ever did. The only good thing about it though is that I went third, and my teacher was marking the first people to do it very leniently. There was this part of my project that had to do with a little stick-on fish. My teacher and several of my classmates thought that it was really creative and cute. Thinking back on it now, the only part of my presentation that I knew what to say was the environmental issue. Everything else was a blurr. Thank goodness, that little fishy saved my life!

Well, I guess that's what I get for trying to over-prepare myself. This geography project was just a big deal for me though. I wasn't as half ready as I thought I would be.

Getting There.... Almost!

Well, I'm almost finished the geography project and I've almost gotten the art test down. One more day is all I have but that's all I really need. By tomorrow, I just need to memorize what I'm going to present, and review the art lessons. Ms. Hibbard, the new art teacher said that I shouldn't worry, but I think worrying is what makes me prepared for things like these.

That's all that's been going on over the weekends. I've been working really hard on my geo project, so I better get a good mark on it.

It's Official! An Election Occurred...

No, this is not a post about politics. In business class, or computer class, I mentioned that we were planning to make a book about MS Word Tutorials. Well, we needed two editors for both of the classes, and we had a vote. The editors for my class are: (drum roll please...)

Well I can't tell you. We are currently in a dangerous area in cyberspace where names could be tracked down. But I can tell you that they do have blogs on blogger.com as well.

There's not much going on. (Lie.) Yeah, actually I have tons of things going on. I have... this computer project, a geography project, and english project, an art test, art sketchbook number four, and endless other things.

Right now, I just finished typing up the tutorials for Summary. I need another one to do it on; something more basic. I was thinking maybe I could do it on Charts and Tables, but somebody might have done that already, so I don't really know.

Until next post... bye my unknown readers!

More and More and More Projects

Well we received a new project on podcasts. We're supposed to make our own podcasts about this course and something else of our choice. Basant and I are going a month from now: January 26. I'm sort of excited about it because this is something I haven't done before, but I'm sort of nervous at the same time.

Another project we're aiming to do is a book about Microsoft Word tutorials. Each one of us in the BTT course is supposed to write a page or two on how to do something in Microsoft Word. It's really exciting because if we were to succeed, this would be the very first time that I would have published something.

Well, I'm currently working on my Geography project. I'm kind of having a hard time finding a few of the necessary information.
