What a Day!

Today was the most… emotional day of my life.

It all started in gym class. One of my friends tried to do a flip, but ended up banging her head on the floor. First, I was about to laugh because I honestly thought she was okay, but when she didn’t get up, we all started to worry. We asked her if she was alright, but she was crying and her head was bleeding. Two of my classmates helped her to the office, and the rest of us were sitting down worrying. I was really sure that she was going to be alright, but when one of the girls began talking about concussions and how you can die from it, I became really scared.

The next period was even more upsetting than that. Five people were called to the office, and minutes later, they came back with Mrs. Kelly. She started talking about how our math class was just too big and some people would have to get another schedule so that they could be transferred to the other math class. I was really nervous because she said that if nobody volunteered, she would be forced to pick names out of a hat.

I couldn’t believe it. It was my first year in high school and everything was perfect. I’ve had so far the most perfect year of my life, with classmates I wanted to be with, and really good teachers and schedule. I just don’t want to throw all of that away just because math class was too big. Unfortunately, five of my classmates decided to change schedules.

I’m pretty sure I’m going to miss them. I mean, nobody would giggle too much in English class anymore or in French class. Things would definitely change.
