Summary: One of the most excessively mis-used method of presenting is PowerPoint. This program is so typically used that audiences of a presentation almost always know what is going to happen in a presentation. When this happens, their mind tends to wander off somewhere else instead of giving their attention to the presenter. There are five ways mentioned in this article on how to improve Powerpoint Presentations.

Way 1: Don't use the ordinary 'data, explain data, conclude data' method of presenting because this is what the audience expects. Instead, switch up the lay out so that there's something new and unexpected for the audience to look at.

Way 2: If you use a textbook or any kind of resource to make your presentation, don't copy word by word and place it at points in your presentation. Instead, take the main ideas, summarize, and then explain it as you go along.

Way 3: Don't explain everything you know about the topic. Keep the presentation short in order to keep your audience awake.

Way 4: Don't read from the presentation. Make a script explaining your notes. Your audience would be able to read the notes themselves so there’s no point of repeating them over. < style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 153, 0);">

Way 5: It might be a good idea to listen to what your audience is talking about before you start your presentation so you would know what they want to know from your presentation. In question-and-answer sessions, you may want to delete some points that you know people would ask about so that you can explain it to the whole group when you answer it.
